This chandelier is beautiful. I researched many! I love the glass shades rather than material shades...much easier to clean! The only thing I would have to say about this light is that it hangs slightly off to one side. My husband is a perfectionist and needs to find a way to balance the light so it hangs straight. Otherwise everything about the light is great!
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The shades are not white linen, they are glass. I wouldn't call this a sleek downtown look, rather a clean-looking 70's chandelier.
